The Institute for Geospatial Analysis & Mapping (GEOMAP) at Illinois State University is offering a two-day training course on the use of advanced Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software on Thursday and Friday, Jan. 6 and 7, 2011.
“ArcGIS I: Introduction to GIS” will acquaint attendees with geographic information systems (GIS) using ESRI’s AcrGIS 9.3, full-featured GIS software for visualization, creation, management and analysis of geographic data.
The workshop cost is $500, which includes textbook, exercise book, CD, and certificate of completion. A discounted rate of $450 is available for government and nonprofit registrants and $400 for faculty, staff and students. Registration deadline is Wednesday, Dec. 22.
