The Senior Professionals group at Illinois State University is offering its first-ever Homecoming Academy from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 on Saturday, Oct. 16, at the Alumni Center. The event, featuring two keynote speakers, is free and open to the public.
Illinois State Politics and Government Professor Bob Bradley will present The 2010 Elections: An Anti-Incumbency Surge or Politics as Usual? He will talk about political races underway in Illinois and others parts of the nation and discuss campaign styles, polling data, and voter trends.
Terri Ryburn, Route 66 Historian and Illinois State retired lecturer and alumna will present Marked for Life, a humorous account of her 1953 trip along Route 66 when she traveled in a pickup truck with her parents, her four brothers and her dad’s two hunting dogs from Bloomington to California.
