“Outsourcing Surrogate Motherhood to India” will be the topic of a presentation by Alison Bailey, director of Illinois State University’s Women’s and Gender Studies program, on Wednesday, Nov. 10, from 12-1 p.m. in the Bone Student Center Third Floor East Lounge. The event is free and open to the public.
Bailey is a professor in Illinois State’s Department t of Philosophy. Her research addresses issues at the intersections of feminist theory, moral and political philosophy, philosophy of race/whiteness studies, and epistemology.
Her presentation is part of Illinois State University’s International Studies Seminar Series exploring topics in global politics and culture. The seminar series is organized by the Unit for International Linkages, Office of International Studies and Programs, and the Women’s and Gender Studies Program.
