Sustainable Livelihoods Capacity Building Approach to Agriculture, Nutrition and Health in Uganda will be the topic of a presentation by Robert Mazur on Wednesday, March 30, from 12-1 p.m. in the Bone Student Center First Floor West Lounge. The event is free and open to the public.
Mazur is a professor of sociology and associate director for socioeconomic development in the Center for Sustainable Rural Livelihoods (CSRL) at Iowa State University. His primary research interests are innovation and diversification in rural livelihood strategies and linkages among livelihood activities, food security, and health. CSRL facilitates rural development and multidisciplinary applied and action research in Uganda.
Mazur’s presentation is part of Illinois State University’s International Studies Seminar Series exploring topics in global politics and culture. The seminar series is organized by the Unit for International Linkages, Office of International Studies and Programs, and the Women’s and Gender Studies Program. His presentation is also co-sponsored by the Hunt Family Fund and the
Stevenson Center for Community and Economic Development.
