Illinois State University’s Board of Trustees today approved a new salary level of $384,000 for President Al Bowman, effective July 1, with all related benefits. Prior to today’s action, presidential compensation was $369,000 since July of 2010.
The Board reviewed the presidential compensation level in conjunction with its evaluation of the president’s performance and determined that President Bowman “tirelessly and effectively served in the interests of the University.”
Bowman became Illinois State University’s 17th president in July of 2004, after serving as interim president the previous year.
