From The Pantagraph: Jillian Jones, a December graduate, always had a passion for nursing. A visit to Brooke Army Medical Center at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio helped her to decide exactly what direction her nursing career would take.
She saw a young soldier whose legs had been amputated above his knees walking on his stumps.
“When I saw that, I was convinced. That was it,” Jones told The Pantagraph. “I was humbled by him and the idea that he was able to come home because of the medical team.”
