A free showing of the documentary Bully will be 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, at the Normal Theater on North Street.
The 2011 film explores bullying in U.S. schools. Directed by Lee Hirsch, the film follows the lives of five students who face bullying on a daily basis. The showing will be followed by a panel discussion at 8 p.m., hosted by Assistant Professor of Psychology Eric Wesselmann. Those on the panel will include M. Shane McCreery of the Office of Equal Opportunity, Ethics and Access; Assistant Professor of Psychology Leandra Parris; and Heather Cosgrove of Student Counseling Services.
The event is sponsored by the College of Arts and Sciences, the Department of Psychology, Psi Chi/SPA, Side by Side and the research labs of Parris and Wesselmann.
