This month’s Student Spotlight is Emily Klay, a junior graphic design major.
During her freshman year, she lived on the Leadership and Services floor, which helped her get involved on campus. She served as the graphic design chair for the University Program Board, and participated in Welcome Week as an intern during her sophomore year. She enjoyed serving as a Welcome Week intern so much that she was a returning intern at Welcome Week 2015 that just took place a couple of weeks ago.
Currently, Klay is the graphic designer for the Dean of Students Office. She feels that the Dean of Students Office has helped her in many ways, from feeling part of the campus to improving her personal skills and preparing for life after college. Klay offers a piece of advice to students: “I think the big thing to remember is that you only have a short time here at ISU in the grand scheme of things so make the most of it.”
