Honors
Askar Choudhury, James Jones, Adolph Okine, and Raquiba (Lena) Choudhury, all COB, received the “Outstanding Research Award” from the Center for the Study of Insurance Regulation and the Journal of Insurance Issues at St. John’s University’s School of Risk Management, Insurance, and Actuarial Science for the research paper titled “Drought Triggered Index Insurance Using Cluster Analysis of Rainfall Affected by Climate Change.”
Diane Dean, EAF, and Ani Yazedjian, FCS, have been selected as participants in the 2015-16 HERS Wellesley Institute for developing women leaders in higher education.
Justin Vickers, MUS, has been asked by the local philanthropy organization For a Better Tomorrow to serve as a mentor for the inaugural Youth Global Citizen, an intensive high school-aged service and leadership program.

Rose Marshack, MUS, moderated a panel at the inaugural Tech Component of the Pygmalion Festival in Champaign. The panel was titled “Consumption of Music: The Impact and Ramifications of Immediacy in Music.”
