Nominations from department chairs and directors for the Spring 2016 cohort of DART Online are due by Thursday, November 19. Eligible participants must be “on the books” to teach in either the summer or fall of 2016. Interested faculty should talk to their department chair or school director.
DART (Design, Align, Refine, and Teach) Online is an intensive, semester-long workshop for faculty interested in designing and teaching high quality online courses. It is taught in a blended format, with about 75 percent of the workshop taking place online and the remainder in face-to-face settings. Successful participants will devote 4 to 5 hours per week to course work. Each DART Online cohort is limited to 30 faculty members.
DART Online is open to all full-time tenure-track and NTT faculty. The Office of the Provost provides funding for stipends in the amount of $1,500 for faculty who successfully complete the DART Online program. Successful completion is measured by the approval of the faculty member’s chair or director.
