The School of Communication announced two short-term study abroad programs for summer 2016.
With the increasing demand for short-term study abroad programs, the School of Communication has added one additional faculty-led program for summer 2016, in addition to the already existing Novancia summer program.
In May, Associate Professor Pete Smudde will be guiding students to Hanze University in Groningen, Netherlands. This intercultural communication program is open to any communication major or minor seeking communication major credit. The required course articulates as COM 372: Theory and Research in Intercultural Communication. Smudde will also be offering students the option to enroll in an independent study which articulates as COM 296.
The second program is through the Novancia School of Business in Paris, France. Julie Navickas and Kristen Presley will be accompanying students for this one-month program. Students who participate in the Novancia summer program will earn credit for COM 369 and COM 372. If students have already completed either of these courses, they may articulate as a COM 300 level electives.
Both programs will guide students through a reflective 1 credit study abroad course which articulates as IDS 133.
