Illinois State University’s Student Government Association (SGA) is calling on the Redbird community to take part in the national It’s On Us campaign.
A new video from the SGA encourages the Illinois State community to take the pledge in the It’s On Us campaign, which is geared toward ending sexual assault on college campuses. SGA students are joined by campus and community leaders, including President Larry Dietz and ISU Chief of Police Aaron Woodruff.
It’s On Us pledge:
I PLEDGE
To RECOGNIZE that non-consensual sex is sexual assault.
To IDENTIFY situations in which sexual assault may occur.
To INTERVENE in situations where consent has not or cannot be given.
To CREATE an environment in which sexual assault is unacceptable and survivors are supported.
