The Jupiter String Quartet will perform a free concert at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 27, in Illinois State University’s Kemp Recital Hall.
Violinists Nelson Lee and Megan Freivogel, violist Liz Freivogel, and cellist Daniel McDonough are in their thirteenth year of performing together in concerts across the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia, and the Americas. In addition to their performing career, the Jupiters are the string quartet-in-residence at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, where they maintain private studios as well as responsibility for running the chamber music program.
The Jupiter String Quartet’s concert in Kemp Recital Hall is made possible in part by a grant from the Friends of the Arts at Illinois State.
