The College of Applied Science and Technology (CAST) is hosting a professional development dinner Monday, April 11, 2016. This popular event will kick off the annual Science and Technology Week. This dinner is a one-of-a-kind occurrence that gives students the chance to network with CAST alumni.
Attendees will learn formal banquet skills and conversational practices for interview and career settings while meeting CAST alumni. The event will start with a “mocktail and mingle” hour, a nonalcoholic cocktail hour where attendees can have conversations with each other and meet new people, simultaneously learning new networking strategies. This gives students the chance to make a few different professional connections prior to the CAST alum they will be seated with during dinner.
Neale Donald Walsch once said, “Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.” This event may make you feel uncomfortable, but it will definitely be beneficial for your future. Get out of your comfort zone and build your professionalism at the professional development dinner!
