Come home to Illinois State University! The Illinois State Normal University Half Century Club honors all alumni whose classes graduated 50 or more years ago.
Join us April 29–30, 2016, for our Half Century Club reunion as we induct the Class of 1966 and enjoy a weekend full of reminiscing, reconnecting, and Redbird pride.
This special reunion is a chance to reconnect with your alma mater and celebrate all the successes Illinois State has experienced. This is your chance to hear how Illinois State University has evolved over time and hear from President Larry Dietz. It will be a weekend you’ll never forget.
Events on April 29–30 are open to all classes from 1966 and prior.
Friday begins at 11 a.m. with the Half Century Club welcome luncheon in the Bone Student Center’s Prairie Room. A chance to go on tours of the newly renovated Foods Lab, the Lois Jett Historic Costume Collection, University Galleries, the historic Quad, and more follows the luncheon. This is a great chance to see all that has changed on campus.
Friday evening is highlighted by the Half Century Club dinner at the Alumni Center. Enjoy a reception and sit-down dinner and university updates from President Dietz. The highlight of the evening will be the induction of the Class of 1966 into the Half Century Club and the honoring of the landmark classes (1941, 1946, 1951, 1956, 1961).
Saturday begins with the Half Century Club breakfast at the Alumni Center before a duo of sessions looking into the history of Ewing Manor and learning how to decipher the 2016 presidential campaign.
A limited number of hotel rooms have been reserved for this Half Century Club weekend.
