OneDrive and Office 365 for Mobile
Monday, February 8 • 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Take your projects on the go using Microsoft Office apps for iOS, Android, and Windows mobile devices. Premium features found in these apps are now available to Illinois State faculty and staff for free as part of the Office 365 software suite. This workshop will get you started working with the mobile versions of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OneNote. You will also explore OneDrive, Microsoft’s cloud-based storage, also free for members of the campus community. Learn how to share documents through OneDrive and discuss how this service within the boundaries of Illinois State data security policies and FERPA. Bring your smartphone or tablet with you to get the most out of this workshop.

Select Survey
Monday, February 8 • 3–4 p.m.

Get a basic understanding of Select Survey, an online survey and form development tool. You will learn how to quickly and easily create web-based surveys from your web browser. This survey software allows you to easily deploy surveys and view real-time results as responses are received. This workshop is open to faculty, administrators, and staff only.

ReggieNet: Tests & Quizzes
Tuesday, February 9 • 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

This workshop takes a more in-depth exploration of the Assessment tools available in ReggieNet, including Tests & Quizzes, Assignments, and Drop Box. Learn the options available for different types of assessment, the limitations of the assessment tools, and instructional strategies for promoting academic integrity. Prerequisite: Introduction to ReggieNet.

Photoshop: Layers
Wednesday, February 10 • 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

This workshop covers how to manipulate, re-order, and merge layers. The session will also give you an overview of how to combine elements from different pictures to create a new composition.

Giving Feedback in Large Classes
Wednesday, February 10 • 1:30–3 p.m.

To effectively teach a large class, we have to take into account our teaching style, the characteristics of our students, and the goals and outcomes of our course. This seminar showcases how instructors who teach large-enrollment classes, those with more than 50 students, can share constructive feedback to help guide the learning process. Come join the conversations and decide which methods might work for you. No registration necessary.

Prezi
Thursday, February 11 • 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Explore the fundamentals of this web-based alternative to PowerPoint. Prezi allows users to create stunning, animated presentations. Learn how to use Prezi’s powerful tools to lead your audience visually, step-by-step, through a narrative. This workshop is designed for both instructors who wish to use Prezi in the classroom and staff members who want to use Prezi for meetings and business presentations.

Excel: Level 2
Friday, February 12 • 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

This course continues the basics of creating and modifying charts that began in Excel: Level 1. Also explore useful tools like filtering, which make viewing data accessible at a glance, and pivot tables to summarize values.
