The Dean of Students Office will end the semester on a high note with two award ceremonies: the Commitment to Diversity Awards and the Student Involvement Recognition Ceremony.
Diversity Advocacy will host the annual Commitment to Diversity Awards Ceremony from 2–4 p.m. Sunday, April 3, in the Old Main Room of the Bone Student Center. This ceremony recognizes current Illinois State undergraduate and graduate students, registered student organizations (RSOs), faculty, and staff who have demonstrated outstanding curricular and co-curricular programming, service, and research that embody the University’s commitment to diversity.
The Student Involvement Recognition Ceremony will be held Sunday, April 17, from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. RSOs, their members, and advisors will be recognized, along with participants of the ISULeads Leadership Certificate Program. This year, awards for Fraternity and Sorority Life have also been added to the ceremony.
The Student Involvement Recognition Ceremony is entirely student-organization driven, as a way to recognize our students and their involvement efforts.
“Illinois State has amazing student leaders who serve as role models and encourage their peers to create impactful and fun organizations and events on campus,” said Michelle Whited, coordinator of Student Activities and Involvement. “We are honored and pleased to recognize the outstanding contributions to student life by registered student organizations and their student leaders.”
