Challenge yourself mentally and physically in this culminating fitness event. The Functionally Fit Challenge will test your teamwork skills and endurance as participants will compete in pairs to complete three different workouts.
This fitness event will take place April 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the HIIT Zone on the third floor of the Student Fitness Center. Participants must register by April 8. Cost is just $5 per person for students and members.
Workouts #1 and #2 are posted on the Fitness section of Campus Recreation’s website and will include a variety of exercises ranging from body weight squats to kettlebell swings. Workout #3 will remain a mystery until the day of the challenge.
Teams will be separated into three divisions: men, women, and coed. These divisions will run in consecutive heats circulating from the main gym to the HIIT Zone and back to the gym. The top three teams in each division will be recognized.
“This is a challenging and inclusive fitness event,” said Fitness Coordinator TJ Kuster. “It is available for all levels of fitness and body types.”
