Illinois State University students will celebrate an International Transgender Day of Visibility on March 31. The student groups, ISU Pride and The League of Extraordinary Genders (TLEG), will raise the Transgender Pride flag outside Moulton Hall that day.
“Hopefully raising the flag will spark a discourse that continues the dialogue on campus around sexual and gender diversity, and what being inclusive can look and feel like,” said Diversity Advocacy’s Danny Mathews, who encourages students, faculty, and staff to visit the flag throughout the day and gather information about how to be better allies to the Transgender community.
