Carlyn Morenus
Carlyn Morenus, a professor of piano at Illinois State University, will present a farewell concert at 8 p.m. Thursday, March 24, in the University’s Center for the Performing Arts Concert Hall. The performance is part of the School of Music’s Charles W. Bolen Faculty Recital Series. The event is free and open to the public.
Morenus is retiring from Illinois State and giving her final solo performance on campus. The program echoes her first ever recital at Illinois State. The concert program will include Sonata in C major, H. XVI:50 by Joseph Haydn, selections from Preludes, Book I by Claude Debussy, and Three Piano Pieces, D. 946 by Franz Schubert.
