Sergiy Rosokha will present “Halogen Bonding: From Crystal Engineering to Electron and Halogen Transfer” at 3 p.m. Friday, March 18, in Julian Hall, room 225.
Rosokha is an associate professor of chemistry at Roosevelt University in Chicago. His work has been awarded research grants from organizations such as the National Science Foundation and the Max Goldenberg Foundation. Rosokha has been honored with the President of Ukraine Stipend for Young Scientists from the president of Ukraine, and the State Prize of Ukraine in Science and Technology from the Ukrainian government.
He earned a Ph.D. in chemistry from the Institute of Physical Chemistry at the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
