Pravleen Bains, an undergraduate researcher in Professor Laura Vogel’s lab in the School of Biological Sciences at Illinois State University, has been accepted to the prestigious National Institutes of Health’s STEP UP program.
Through the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney (NIDDK) this summer, Bains will work with Dr. Peter Aronson at Yale University medical school, studying molecular mechanisms involved in the formation of kidney stones.
