Many know the Administrative/Professional (A/P) Council as the organization that represents A/P employees in shared governance at Illinois State University. The council takes great pride in being this vehicle to serve employees and continues to show the impact that all Illinois State employees can have on campus and the community outside of the governance system.
Just this month, the majority of A/P Council volunteered hours at two larger campus events to connect with students and learn more about what is happening at Illinois State. These included University Housing Services House Calls program and University College’s Human Library.
“Both of these opportunities energized us and made us proud to be a part of this campus,” said Ron Gifford, chair of A/P Council. “By making service a priority for A/P Council, we hope this encourages others to get out there and volunteer, whether that is at ISU or in the community representing ISU.”
Those A/P employees interested in learning more about A/P Council, voice concerns, or find out about upcoming service opportunities are welcome to attend an A/P Council meeting or contact Ron Gifford.
