Student Activities and Involvement provides support to nearly 400 registered student organizations (RSOs) on campus. This month’s RSO spotlight is Hammin’ Out.
Hammin’ Out is best known as a group of students that gathers on the Quad in their hammocks. This organization is dedicated to relaxation, comfort, and friendships. Typically, Hammin’ Out utilizes its Facebook group to communicate with other members when they will be “Hammin’ Out” on campus.
Michael Muneses, a junior molecular cellular biology major, is the president of Hammin’ Out. “This organization has allowed me to have a release from my studies and has given me lifelong friendships,” he said.
Hammin’ Out has over 40 members and is always welcoming more. For those interested in joining, contact Michael Muneses.
From service organizations to just hanging out, Hammin’ Out proves that there really is something for everyone at Illinois State! For more information on joining a RSO or starting your own student organization, contact Student Activities and Involvement at (309) 438- 2836.
