The ISU Faculty String Quartet will perform works by Beethoven and Prokofiev at the University Club (U-Club) on Friday, October 21, in the Faculty/Staff Commons of the Bone Student Center.
The meeting will begin at 3:30 p.m., with the performance at 4:15 p.m.
Faculty members Sarah Gentry, violin; Kate Lewis, viola; and Adriana Ransom, cello; will be joined by graduate student Kelsey Klopfenstien, violin. Musicology professor Allison Alcorn will discuss the string quartet as a genre and its evolution over the centuries.
