The Illinois State University Police Department and Environmental Health & Safety office have developed a one-hour emergency preparedness class for interested University departments, teams, and groups. The interactive class encourages participants to discuss effective ways of dealing with a variety of emergency scenarios.

- Department emergency response plans
- Evacuation assembly areas and accountability
- Specific scenarios:
- Fire inside a building
- Tornado hitting campus
- Hazardous materials incident
- Armed robbery
- Bomb threat
- Shots fired
- Active shooter
