Illinois State University has been named a Gold Medal-level Military Friendly School by Victory Media, publisher of G.I. Jobs, STEM Jobs SM, and Military Spouse. The designation gives extra recognition to programs at Illinois State and other colleges and universities that were named to Victory Media’s list of Military Friendly Schools for 2017.
Illinois State is one of four colleges and universities in Illinois to be recognized in the Gold Medal category. Gold Medal recognition, one level below the Top 10 Gold designation, showcases some of the most powerful and effective veteran-centered programs at more than 1,200 post-secondary schools that were designated as Military Friendly Schools.
Criteria for inclusion in the Military Friendly Schools list includes a strong commitment to recruiting, retaining, and providing financial, academic, and social services to student veterans.
Institutions earning the Military Friendly School designation were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from Victory Media’s proprietary survey.
