Students seeking part-time employment and leadership experience that develops highly-valued professional skills are invited to apply as career ambassadors for the Career Center.
Career ambassadors are a part of the Career Center team and serve to help students develop their professional and career development skills by conducting resume and LinkedIn reviews, mock interviews, career-focused presentations, and assist with marketing and outreach of Career Center services to students both in person and online.
As ambassadors, students experience many benefits besides being paid for their work.
“Ambassadors are well-trained on effective resume writing and job interviewing, how to create a LinkedIn profile and use it to build their career connections, and other professional skills,” said Career Advisor Megan Kayfish, who is also the career ambassadors supervisor. “In addition, they may qualify to receive internship credit, and are provided with numerous opportunities to network with employers recruiting Redbirds and other key campus constituents. The ambassador position serves to assist students with their career and professional skills, but also helps the ambassador as a professional as well!”
