The Mennonite College of Nursing (MCN) will hold a retirement reception to honor Catherine Miller and say goodbye to Caroline Mallory from 2-4 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, on the first floor of Edwards Hall. Refreshments will be served and a short program wishing Mallory and Miller farewell will begin at 2:30 p.m.
Miller has served Mennonite College of Nursing since 2010, as associate dean for academics, acting dean, interim dean, and faculty member as well as project director for PROUD (Pre-entry and Retention Opportunities for Undergraduate Diversity). “Her commitment to students, faculty, staff, and the University has always been evident, whether taking time to listen, offering advice, guiding, praising, or in service to others,” said MCN Dean Judy Neubrander. “We will greatly miss Dr. Miller’s kind heart, caring nature, strong leadership, and friendship. We wish her all the best as she retires.”
Mallory has accepted a position as dean of the College of Health and Human Services at Indiana State University in Terre Haute. She will begin her appointment there on July 17. Mallory has served 18 years at Illinois State as professor, associate dean for research, and graduate program coordinator at Mennonite College of Nursing. “We will miss Dr. Mallory’s expertise, knowledge, collegiality, and friendship and wish her the best as she starts this new chapter,” said Neubrander.
