Lisa Hood is serving on the state Kindergarten Individual Development Survey (KIDS) Advisory Committee. The KIDS Advisory Committee is made up of ISBE administrators, early childhood and early elementary teachers and administrators, assessment and data experts, and other stakeholders whose purpose is to guide ISBE as it adapts and aligns the KIDS assessment tool; providing research and advice on communications planning, professional development training, and financial resource needs. The Kindergarten Individual Development Survey is an observational tool designed to help teachers, administrators, families, and policymakers better understand the developmental readiness of children entering kindergarten, and its new site is live.
