As the State of Illinois continues to address funding for higher education, the Career Center is hosting its annual Part-time Job Fair on September 7 to connect students with local employers looking to hire Redbirds for their part-time openings. Held in the Bone Student Center from 1 – 3 p.m. students seeking part-time employment are encouraged to attend to meet employers from local retailers, restaurants, nonprofit organizations, and other companies.
Students
Illinois State students should bring their Redbird identification card and any information they may need to complete a job application, such as a list of previous employers and their contact information, a resume, and their schedule. Students are also encouraged to dress business casual as interviews may be conducted at the fair.
Employers
Employers from the Bloomington-Normal community can participate free of charge, but registration is required in advance on the Part-time Job Fair webpage. Employers should also bring any supplies needed such as tablecloth, job applications, writing utensils, etc.
