The Illinois State University Planetarium will present From Earth to the Universe, running weekends from September 22 through November 18. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Fridays and 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturdays. There will be no presentations October 27-28.
From Earth to the Universe takes visitors from the world of the ancient Greek astronomers to today’s grandest telescopes. The journey continues to the various worlds in the solar system, to the colorful birthplaces and burial grounds of stars, and still further out, beyond the Milky Way, to the unimaginable immensity of the universe.
Admission to the Planetarium is $4 for adults, $3 for children ages 5-12 and seniors, and $2 for children ages 3-4. The Planetarium is located under the white-domed roof at the eastern end of Felmley Hall of Science Annex, at the intersection of College Avenue and School Street, in Normal.
