The Ben C. Hubbard Leadership Award recognizes the achievements of a person who has promoted, championed, or achieved one or more significant goals benefiting education in Illinois. The following two educational professionals were recognized with the award in 2016 and 2017. The newest honoree will be announced at the EAF on the Red Carpet Spring Gala on Saturday, May 5, at the DoubleTree Hotel.
2016 award recipient Diane Ashby has achieved many significant goals benefiting Illinois education. She began her career as a middle school English and speech teacher. She then served Illinois State University, holding positions as an assistant professor, associate professor, and principal of University High School.
