The 2018 Missouri Valley Conference Basketball Tournaments are fast approaching, and Illinois State is planning events for fans to attend and get ready for the action.
Hoops in the Heartland event: Quad Cities
Take in Redbird basketball March 8-11 as Illinois State’s women’s team heads to the Quad Cities for Hoops in the Heartland. The first game will be Friday, March 9 against Northern Iowa University.
This Redbird Rally will feature a program that includes Illinois State University President Larry Dietz, Reggie Redbird, and performances by Illinois State’s band and cheerleading team.
When: 6:30-7:30 p.m. (tipoff, 8:30 p.m.), Friday, March 9
Where: The Union at 525, 525 14th St., Moline
Cost: Free to attend. Food and drink provided.
Fans are also invited to the MVC Women’s 25th Celebration Brunch at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, March 9, at the TaxSlayer Conference Center. Jill Hutchison, Linda Herman, and Kristi Cirone will be Illinois State guests of honor for their impressive accomplishments as the Valley celebrates the 25th anniversary of women’s sports in the league. Cost to attend the brunch is $25.

Arch Madness event: St. Louis
Redbird fans heading to St. Louis to watch our men’s basketball team play in Arch Madness March 1-4 can also stop by the Budweiser Brew House inside Ballpark Village (next to Busch Stadium) for the first Redbird Rally. More information on the game and rally time will be included after bracket announcements.
When: 5:30 p.m. (tipoff, 8:30 p.m.), Friday, March 2
Where: Budweiser Brew House, 601 Clark Avenue #101, St. Louis
Cost: Free to attend with food and drinks available for purchase
Budweiser Brew House will also serve as the pregame and postgame headquarters for Redbird fans throughout Arch Madness. Located just north of Busch Stadium, Budweiser Brew House is the official gathering spot for Redbird fans at the Valley Tournament. Fans are encouraged to meet there and socialize before and after all Illinois State games.
