Associate Dean of Milner Library Dallas Long will present, “Preparing the Qatar National Library for Opening Day: A Project Sponsored by the Fulbright Specialist Program” for University Club at 4:30 p.m. Friday, March 2, in the Founders Suite of the Bone Student Center.
The event is free and open to the University community.
The talk will feature Long’s experience at the Qatar National Library where he spent four weeks last fall. Long who received a Fulbright Specialist Award, assisted the library staff in Qatar to prepare a new structure for the grand opening. Most of the staff lacked prior library experience and Long shared his expertise by training them in several areas, from customer service to handling emergency situations.
All faculty, staff, annuitants, and guests are welcome to attend University Club, which runs from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Continued program support is provided by the Office of the Provost and the Office of the President. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
