The documentary has received several national and international awards from the Pan African Film Festival, the San Diego Women Film Festival, and the International Women’s Film Festival. It has been screened and distributed at film festivals, colleges, universities, high schools, correctional facilities, rape crisis centers, battered women’s shelters, and conferences across the globe.
