The Illinois State University Alumni Association, Department of Agriculture, and Office of the Provost/Summer Session invite all alumni, family, and friends to a CornBelters baseball game this summer. Join fellow alumni, friends, faculty, students, Reggie Redbird, and Corny for fun and socializing.
Pregame cookout
When: 5–6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 28
Where: Illinois State’s Horticulture Center, Raab Road
Enjoy the pregame cookout at the Horticulture Center located directly across from the Corn Crib. The event fee of $5 includes pulled pork, shredded chicken, baked beans, chips, cookie, ice cream, and a beverage. A cash bar will also be available. Guests will also receive a free hot dog and soft drink during the game, complimentary of the CornBelters.
As guests enjoy the food, there will also be giveaways (including a special item for young alumni) and activities sponsored by the Central Illinois Birds of the Last Decade.
Register for the pregame cookout by 4:30 p.m. on June 26.
Cornbelters game
When: 7:05 p.m. Thursday, June 28
Where: Corn Crib, Raab Road
The CornBelters will take on the River City Rascals at the Corn Crib. Game tickets are $10 per person. The national anthem will be performed by senior, biology teacher education major Kayla Haines. First pitch will be done by Kris Harding, M.S. ’94, executive director of alumni engagement and Jeff Bovee, 2018 MVC Outdoor Track and Field Men’s and Women’s Coach of the Year. Register for game tickets by 4 p.m. on Friday, June 22. For tickets after 4 p.m. June 22, please contact Sean Mendyk at the Cornbelters directly at (309) 451-3437 and mention the ISU alumni section. These tickets can be picked up from the Corn Crib Will Call window the night of the game.
