The Institute for Corruption Studies at Illinois State University will host the panel discussion “Why is Illinois So Corrupt?” at 6 p.m. Monday, April 23, in the Brown Ballroom of the Bone Student Center. The event is free and open to the public.
Panelists will be Rick Pearson, chief political reporter for the Chicago Tribune, and Bob Secter, director of investigations for the Better Government Association. The panel will be moderated by Oguzhan Dincer, associate professor of economics and director of the Institute for Corruption Studies.
The Institute for Corruption Studies is a new research initiative, focusing on the broader economic and political aspects of corruption on a national and global scale, founded in 2016 and housed in the Department of Economics at Illinois State University.
