Michaela Fray and Mary Kay Scharf presented “Guiding Teacher Leaders to the Principal’s Office: A Competency-Based Approach” at the National Summit for Principal Supervisors held April 25–27, 2018. Participants of the session learned how competency-based principal preparation program requirements can be used to develop the leadership capacity of teacher leaders, administrators-in-training, and administrators-in-waiting.
The National Summit for Principal Supervisors is an annual event designed for K-12 superintendents, district leadership staffs, principal supervisors, and aspiring principal supervisors from across the nation to engage in professional development opportunities that will improve the outcomes of school principals as a result of increased knowledge and skills of principal supervisors.
