Welcome Week and move-in is one of the most exciting times at Illinois State each year. Watching the Redbird community come together to help our students make Illinois State feel like home never ceases to be amazing. Students get the support of faculty, staff, and community partners to make their move-in experience as seamless as possible.
Once moved in, students have a variety of Welcome Week events to attend. It is held prior to the start of classes each fall and is designed to build connections between students and the campus, assist them in learning about what it means to be a Redbird, and gain some on-site knowledge of the campus and its resources.
It is also about having fun! This year, our students engaged in fun activities such as Illinois State’s music festival Quadchella, tried their hand at classic casino games at Viva Las Vegas, and sang with Reggie at his Karaoke BBQ.
