Open Access Week 2018 is an international celebration of the benefits of making information free, online, and reusable.
Open Access Week gives us the opportunity to learn, share, help, and transform the way research is conducted. This year, Open Access Week is taking place October 22–26. Each day of the week, Milner Library will host a special event to bring more awareness to Open Access materials and information.
“By offering a variety of programs, we’re hoping to show how open access to information, copyright, and publishing affects everyone at the University,” says Anne Shelley, scholarly communication librarian. “From a keynote talk on scholars connecting with the public, to workshops on Fair Use interpretation, to publishing and licensing 3-D print models, there’s something of interest for just about anyone.”
You can learn more about Open Access information through this online library guide. Email Anne Shelley if you any questions regarding Open Access Week 2018 programming.
