The Department of Criminal Justice Sciences’ student organizations—Criminal Justice Association, Breaking Barriers, and Alpha Phi Sigma—are partnering with LaSalle County’s Sheridan Correctional Center on a clothing drive for individuals released from the center.
Students, faculty, and staff can join this holiday effort by dropping off any new or gently used men’s clothing. The campaign will run through November 30, after which all locations will be picked up for distribution in the local community. The University will be closed Thursday, November 22, and Friday, November 23.
Drop boxes are located at the following sites on campus:
• 441 Schroeder Hall
• 211 Rachel Cooper
• Third Floor of Milner Library (next to the Collaboration Area)
• 105 Nelson Smith Building (outside the University Police Department)
The clothing drive will provide these returning citizens with clothing appropriate for job interviews.
