The Fall Big Band Dance, presented by the Illinois State University Jazz Ensembles, will be from 7-10 p.m. Saturday, November 10, at The New Lafayette Club, located at 1602 S. Main Street, Bloomington.
Admission is $15 at the door, and only cash and checks are accepted. Attendees are expected to dress in an appropriate manner, so no jeans or T-shirts.
The ensembles, which are directed by Tom Marko, will feature classic big band music from the 1930s and 1940s. A wide variety of ballroom dance styles—such as the cha-cha-cha, rhumba, waltz, swing, salsa, and samba—will also be included. Doors will open at 5:45 p.m. and a cash bar will be available.
