University High School will premiere Tracks and The Bully Plays. Performances will be held at the Ruth A. Stroud Auditorium at U-High at 7 p.m on both Friday, November 30, and Saturday, December 1, and also at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 2. Tickets will be available both online and at the door. Ticket prices are $10 for adults, $8 for senior citizens, and $5 for students.
Tracks features 10 diverse characters from across the country, who find themselves in the afterlife: a single subway station. The cast is faced with one main question: will the train go up or down? The Bully Plays, a collection of short plays, features six performers addressing the overlooked issues in society. The cast aims to bring attention to the problems in creative ways.
Theatre education students from Illinois State University have partnered with U-High to help direct and mentor students, which allows students from both schools to receive a unique experience from the process.
