Alan Lacy, associate vice president for Academic Fiscal Management, has announced he will retire June 30. The Office of the Provost will conduct an internal search during the spring semester.
Lacy arrived at Illinois State in 1999 as professor and chair in the Department of Health, Physical Education and Recreation (renamed the School of Kinesiology and Recreation in 2001). He also served as associate dean and acting dean in the College of Applied Science and Technology prior to joining the Office of the Provost in 2015.
“For nearly 20 years, Alan has served the university as a thoughtful and dedicated leader,” said Provost Jan Murphy. “His focus on building relationships, including hiring and mentoring many talented individuals across the University, will positively impact our campus for many years to come.”
