Experience Ewing Manor’s rich history by participating in its fifth annual architecture tour on Saturday, April 6. Two tour times are available: 10 a.m. and noon. Reservations are suggested, but not required. Space is limited to 15 people per tour. Cost is $20 per person, payable at the door.
The tour allows guests to see the unique architectural features of Bloomington’s only “castle.” Guides will show all 44 rooms of the Manor, providing information and facts about the structure of the Channel-Norman style house that was completed in 1929. This year’s tour also offers the opportunity to view the contents of a 90-year-old time capsule that was opened in 2018.
The tours require walking and the ability to use stairs and lasts approximately two and-a-half hours.
Ewing Manor is located on the corner of Towanda Avenue and Emerson Street in Bloomington. Parking is available across Emerson at St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Contact Ewing Cultural Center at (309) 438-6333 for more information or to reserve a spot.
