Six years after joining the University to lead the men’s Redbird tennis team, Mark Klysner captured his 100th win as a head coach. He reached the milestone during the spring season with victories over the University of Illinois-Springfield and Eastern Illinois University.
Appears In“I have to thank all of my players who have played for me in the past and currently,” Klysner said following the accomplishment. “It’s been a fun ride, and now let’s look ahead to 200.”
A native of Denmark, Klysner grew up in Canada. He excelled as a collegiate athlete at the University of South Carolina-Aiken, rising to a national rank in both singles and doubles play. He became a standout on the Canadian Junior National Team, winning more than 30 tournaments throughout North America and Europe. Klysner still competes in lower-level professional events.
