The Illinois State men’s and women’s basketball teams have released their schedules for the upcoming 2019–2020 seasons.
The men’s basketball team returns three letterwinners from last season’s 17–16 team, including Zach Copeland, Matt Chastain, and Rey Idowu. There will be 11 newcomers to the team and the squad will face Belmont, their first opponent of the regular season, on November 6 at the newly renovated Redbird Arena.
The women’s basketball team brings back nine returners from last year’s 19–12 team, including 2019 Missouri Valley Conference Newcomer of the Year and First Team All-MVC selection TeTe Maggett. Six newcomers have joined the program, which got a head start on the 2019–2020 season with a summer overseas trip to Italy.
