Back by popular demand, the Illinois State women’s basketball team has two Education Day promotions on its 2019–2020 schedule. The ‘Birds will host Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) at Redbird Arena on Monday, December 16, and Jackson State on Thursday, December 19, with tipoff on both days set for 11 a.m.
Last season’s Education Day saw the Redbirds defeat Saint Louis, 72-67 in front of an energetic crowd of 3,500.
Elementary schools are encouraged to attend and admission will be free for all teachers, chaperones, and students who register. Participants may sign up by emailing Assistant Director of Marketing Dylan McKitterick.
Seating sections for season ticket holders and other non-school attendees will be reserved and communicated in advance.
