The University community is invited to celebrate the retirement of Robert G. “Chip” Bone Jr. from 2-4 p.m. Thursday, November 21, at the Alumni Center, room 116. Remarks will be at 3 p.m.
Bone is retiring after 37 years of dedicated service with Illinois State University. He started his tenure working for the College of Continuing Education and Public Service and ends his journey with Conference Services after 26 years as an account technician. Bone, the youngest son of Illinois State’s President Robert G. Bone Sr., graduated from both Metcalf and University High schools. He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois, then received a master’s degree from Illinois State.
